Hwange

Before recommending a holiday destination or lodge to my clients, I always do extensive research, I talk to the Reservations Manager or the General Manager. I try and find out as much as I can about the product through talking to them, gauging their enthusiasm and dedication to the product.

When visiting Hwange between December and April, expect game to be dropping their young amidst the greenery and anticipate a variety of birdlife due to incoming migrations like the Bronze-winged courser or the locally common Bradfield's hornbill. When its not raining or drizzling, take your binoculars for a spin, you might just spot the birthing of one of the many elephants in the area.

Getting there and back is a breeze with transfers provided by a Victoria Falls based company.

Today I'm working on camps in Hwange National Park, here are my options for the day:

Nehimba Camp

Nehimba Guest Room

Marketing itself as a Photographic Safari Camp is a plus. The lodge offers Classic Game drives and Game walks, you're bound to have . Nikki was eager to help with the information readily available on Skype or via email.
Here are their Fast Facts Nehimba Camp- Fast Facts

Camp Hwange

Promptly informed that they are closed from the 21st of Feb to the 21st of March for maintenance (as well as being the best time for the staff to take their annual leave- to come back refreshed and waiting to serve you!), I decided to just get their prices for future reference.  I'll keep a log on the value for money when I visit or perhaps you'd like to let me know? The Hide
Certainly a cut above many camps in Zimbabwe, The Hide offers unparalleled experiences which will leave you craving more. If you're not worried about how much a 3 night Safari will cost, this lodge is hard to beat in terms of offering what you want.
